The adaptive re-use of a 1920s industrial building on the edge of downtown created an “industrial hacienda,” focused around a pool courtyard. A hodge-podge of remodeled store fronts was replaced with cement infill panels and high windows to maintain privacy and security in this inner-city neighborhood.
